One of OSX greatest power is being able to have lots and lots of programs open at once, but desktops often become very cluttered with windows. Today I will be releasing 1 of 3 tips to becoming the multiple window master in OSX.

This first lesson will be a beginners course, I recommend to use for a full day or so until you get the hang of it.

Open Application Display

Command + Tab - Opens The Open Application Display like the picture below, this will display a Icon bar of applications currently open ordered from currently used to last used.

While the heads up display is open (by keeping the ⌘ Clover key down) and you can do a few things

• Tab or Right Arrow Key- To go right with the selector
• ~ (the key above tab) or Left Arrow Key - To go left with the selector
• Release Command - To bring the selected program to the front
• Q - To quit the current selected program

Now that you know how to bring programs to the front, lets learn how to hide.

I’m guilty of keeping bad gifts, but this year I’m taking a stand. I’m returning 40% of my gifts (the unwanted gifts). Yes grandma, I’m returning that sweater I maybe could have worn when I was 16!

According to MSNBC the average person receives nearly 60% Unwanted gifts for the holidays! Suburban Chicago News says 13% of people don’t return gifts, because it’s too much of a hassle. Thats a lot of wasted money!

How this works

On Jan 16th 7:00, I’ll be using random generator program called Randomness version 1.5.2 to determine the random number.

For Comments- I’ll look a the total comments on the site from now to Jan 16th 7:00 and plug it into the generator and the number comes up will be the winner, by using wordpress comment id tag.

For Webmasters - I’ll take my emails sorted from oldest to newest and count how many I have and plug it into Randomness.
So example the first email will be #1 (oldest).

The random numbers will be drawn On Jan 16th 7:00pm EST for commenters and 7:30 for websites.
