One of my all time favorite bands of all times Nine Inch Nails has released all of their music for free in mp3 format. Yes 100% free, including instrumental versions of songs, remixes and all the stuff you can buy in the store from Trent Reznor himself.

  2. Ruel Says:

To just get the music is there an easy way to download or will I be stuck using Wire Tap?

I didn’t see any of the NiN catalog available for free download, but there are remixes and tracks that were not previously released. Definately worth checking out.

Also for you NiN fans, the new remix CD “Y34RZ3R0R3MIX3D” is excellent and I highly recommend buying a copy. The multitrack audio files are also include in three formats on the DVD that accompanies the “Y34RZ3R0R3MIX3D” CD. Trent has also released “Still” (the 2002 companion to “And All That Could Have Been”) on iTunes and in the Amazon MP3 store.

To answer Ruel’s question, once you create a (free) account, you can download MP3 files.

Thanks, I’ll try it again and see if I can find the catalog items.

By the way, if you haven’t grabbed it already don’t miss the new Saul Williams that Trent produced. He’s also credited with music writing credits and there’s an occasional vocal cameo. You can download it for free, or for $5 you can download the files in lossless FLAC format and then convert them yourself to MP3 or AAC (or burn a CD). I pitched in the $5 to support the artists and I feel like I really got my money’s worth from the music.
