Top 10 OS X Shareware Applications of 2007
January 2nd, 2008 at 2:25 amHappy New Years Everyone! Today I’ll be listing my top 10 favorite shareware applications of 2007. Some of us will have common taste and I hope some of you might discover something new.
My Top 10
Textmate - An amazing text editor without the bloat. If you’re a web designer or programmer, this programs a must. Tons of great features such as collapsible text blocks, color coding text elements, macros and so much more. I bought this program in march of 2005 and It’s still my favorite.

1Password - The best password manager on OS X. Very secure, supports multiple login accounts, .Mac syncing, integrates with all the popular browsers and has an automatic form filler.

Garage Sale - A must for anyone who sells a good amount on Ebay. Integrates with iPhoto, has a built in scheduler and lots of Ebay templates to help sell your items. Quick, EZ and better than iSale.

Cha-Ching - A great lightweight money manager which supports QIF, OFX and QFX imports. Simple, clean and getting better all the time. I wouldn’t recommend this for businesses, but it’s great for the personal use.

Overflow - The best 3rd party application launcher out there in my opinion. This programs is very underrated and should be given a try.

CSS Edit - If you create or edit CSS files, this program will be your best friend. This has to be the best CSS editor I’ve ever seen on any OS. Extremely powerful!

Transmit - Great FTP program, powerful but yet simple to use.

iShowU - Advanced video screen Capture utility. Not much to say here, but I’ve tried them all and this is by far the best.

Mac Gourmet - A Great program my wife and I use every day. In fact, I bought an mac mini for our kitchen just for this program. Add, Create, Modify or import your favorite recipes with ease. It also creates a nice grocery list for planned out meals.

Unison - The best tool for people who use Usenet.

Please share your top 10 favorite apps of 2007 in comments.

I am surprised not to see Skitch on anyone’s list with its roaring popularity, I hope to try it out once I get a hold of an invite.

I really love YummySoup! over any of the other recipe applications. For burning files I prefer Burn, it’s opensource and it’s very useful.
