I really love YummySoup! over any of the other recipe applications. For burning files I prefer Burn, it’s opensource and it’s very useful.

They’re not all shareware, but these are the apps I can’t live without:
10. Connect360 - lets me play back content from my Mac on my Xbox 360
9. VLC - plays back movies in any format under the sun.
8. iShowU - for recording screencasts
7. Spanning Sync - for giving me a real roaming calendar
6. Fetch - for FTPing awesomely.
5. Adium - for letting me chat with my friends and coworkers
4. VMWare Fusion - for testing against IE 6 and 7, and for playing Civ 3
3. OmniPlan - for helping me manage my projects and schedules
2. Textmate - for hacking Ruby
1. iRooster - wakes me up every single day.
