Lots of bad iPhone replicas are out in china, but they are getting better. Below is a video of an older iPhone replica interface.

Now the iPhonechina (the big picture above) has even copied the apple logo (but backwards) and a better phone case than the video above, making it harder to tell from real iPhones.. According to timstech.com, you should expect seeing these fakes on ebay for around $100 so be careful. The average apple fan would know an iPhone from a fake with no problem, but the an apple noob could mistakenly buy one from ebay thinking they have a real iPhone.

How To Stop iPhone Interference in Speakers

stop iphone interferance speakers

Macosxhints.com provided a very cool tutorial today on how to prevent electromagnetic interference with your iPhone. If your constantly hearing annoying noises when your near speakers with your iPhone, this will stop it.

  1. All you have to do it cut out 2 inch x 3 inch piece of aluminum foil
  2. Fold the longer side in half to make it 2 inch x 1.5 inch.
  3. Tape the foil to the bottom right corner with electric tape like the picture above (longer side horizontal to the bottom).

It might be a little eye sore, but if you have it in a case, you won’t see it.

The Testing for Signal Differences

I have gone over 4 hours so far with no problems. I even tested this on an hour car drive from work with no issues.

I went to the store and bought more foil for pictured results, to compare two iPhones side by side.

Pictured Results

Here’s with double the foil recommended & bigger (on the right) and an iPhone with no foil (to the left)

A Crazy iPhone Fan Risked His Life for His Phone

nyc subway

Bijan Rezvani, a tourist visiting New York City reciently decided to risk his life to save his iPhone from an oncoming train according to Laptopmag.com.

Rezvani was asked why he did it and said

Well, first of all it’s an expensive piece of hardware. Too expensive for me, but Steve [Jobs] owns my soul. Content was a major issue too… mainly contacts, but also photos.

It’s the first time I’ve had a cool phone that does anything and also the first time I’ve gone around taking photos of things in my life, so the stuff I had captured was kind of important for me to keep. I also cropped a couple hundred wallpapers for it so that would’ve been gone. A big issue was sort of a privacy one… I didn’t like the idea of someone looking at my photos or of someone being able to text people in my list or read my conversations with friends, etc. The prospect of paying for another phone (by necessity the cheapest offered) didn’t thrill me either.”

Fortunately he’s alright (maybe not in the head), but often stories like these end up being tragedies rather than humorous.

Amazon.com adds a new beta interface for your iPhone. While going to Amazon on your iPhone, you will redirected to http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/h.html , which shows a very custom and optimized interface (better than pic above).

You can view this URL with any browser, but it’s very different from what you see on your phone.
