Getting Thrifty

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

Now that the economy in general is turning to absolute crap, it’s time to get a little thrifty no matter how much you make. I make six figures a year and I’ve been starting some thrifty moves to help prepare for the future. Here are a few things that may or may not help you.

Over Priced Fuel

- Gas Widget - Gas / Diesel Prices are way to high anyways, why pay more when you don’t have to.

-Next Car/Truck Look into MPG. I bought a Jeep Cherokee Diesel because its cheaper per MPG. I still have my other cars, but this is my daily car to work.

-Avoid ATM Fees, only go to your banks ATM. On average my wife and I were spending $50 a month on ATM fees alone

Sorry for the Site Issues

Monday, January 21st, 2008

Sorry for the site issues currently and the past, I’ll be switching to a new Hosting Company soon. Seems media temple can’t handle 50leaves. I’ve had nothing but troubles with them.. I personally wouldn’t recommend them to anyone unless you want a headache.

I get the following errors all the time:

Update Jan 22nd 2008

Talked with VP of Customer Service and I’ll be giving Media Temple another try. They are switching my site to another server and crediting me for 3 months. Hopefully this will fix the issues. Seems most people who use Media Temple do not have any issues, except for people on my server.
